118. Colleen Quigley On Empowerment, Opportunity, & Community Through The Lens of Running

Colleen Quigley is a 2016 Olympian, an NCAA Champion, and world renowned runner. She is a member of the Bowerman Track Club and is a Nike -sponsored athlete. Born into a family of runners, Colleen wasn’t always on the Olympic track. She grew up loving dance and modeled professionally throughout her high school years. But in her senior year of high school, she caught the running bug. In her freshman year of college, at Florida State University, she really clicked in to the sport and her talent for steeplechase blossomed. The rest is history.

In today’s conversation on the Marni on the Move podcast we sync up about Colleen’s road to running and the Olympics, her quick pivot during COVID-19, how she is now training for Tokyo 2021, the Bowerman Track Club Summer Running Camp program for teens, their One Million Miles for Justice initiative, the strategies and toolbox she employs for recovery and rehab, her secrets for running success, the movement she started with #FastBraidFriday, and her dog, Pie!
